Whose Class is it Anyway?: An Introduction to Improv Games is a brand new class at CATCh for those looking to do their best Wayne Brady or Colin Mochrie impressions.

Every month, CATCh puts on its Improv Game Night show to packed houses. It's our most popular recurring show. Which makes sense, because it is so damn fun. If you have a desire to get up on stage and play bold and silly characters, all while making an audience laugh...this class is for you.

Each week, students will be introduced to improv games, many of which you have seen on Whose Line is it Anyway? In addition to learning the games, students will play big characters, understand the importance of topical references, and build skills to host and edit games! This is also a great way to potentially be placed on the Game Night team roster.

Student Show:

Saturday, July 27th @ 7:30 PM

Please ensure you are available for the show in addition to the classes. Performance is an important part of the course.

Prerequisites:

This is a performance class, so some experience is required. In order to take this class, we ask that you fit into at least one of the following categories:

  • You have completed our Unlocking the Self: Improv Skills for Life course and have received approval to sign up. (email info@CATCh.theater
  • You were or are currently a performer at CATCh or any other theater whether as an improviser or an actor.
  • You have completed our Stand-up Comedy class or have prior stand-up experience.

If you do not meet these requirements, please reach out with any questions. Our Unlocking the Self class may be the best place to start learning some improv fundamentals and build confidence.
